Responsible Waste Starts With Me
In collaboration with Danone-AQUA, we continues to play an active role in promoting sustainable education in Indonesia, particularly in tackling the country’s waste problem. Many may already be familiar with their well-known campaign, #BijakBerplastik, which encourages a culture of recycling and responsible waste management across all levels of society.
As part of this initiative, in 2019, launched an educational guidebook titled “Sampahku, Tanggung Jawabku” (My Waste, My Responsibility) specifically designed for elementary school teachers. The guidebook aims to teach children the importance of the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and foster responsible behavior toward plastic waste from a young age.

To support the rollout, teacher training sessions were conducted to help educators effectively use the guide in their classrooms. So far, the guidebook has been introduced in 75 schools across Indonesia, from Sabang to Merauke.
This effort was made possible through collaboration with the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, the Ministry of Education and Culture, Universitas Indonesia, and Yayasan Lentera Anak.
Danone-AQUA believes that sustainable change starts at home and in schools. With continued public support, especially from families, sustainability education can become a lasting movement.
