@vega.paramitadevi shares her experience after returning from the Watermicro 2025 conference in Amersfoort, the Netherlands<\/strong>.<\/p>

Held under the International Water Association (IWA)<\/strong>, this is a gathering place for global experts in water and environmental microbiology. This conference is one of the oldest in the world and has now reached its 22nd edition. Beyond expanding networks, young and mid-career researchers had the chance to directly meet with senior experts and also establish collaborations with industry players.<\/p>

\u201cThrough Watermicro 2025, as a researcher, I\u2019ve become more confident about my research positioning\u2014both now and in the future. I gained this during my time as a presenter, through discussions with senior researchers during the poster session, and by listening to their presentations. It helped build motivation to move forward as a researcher.\n\nWhen we feel like we\u2019ve failed, somewhere else in the world, someone is going through the same thing. We can support and encourage one another.\n\nAnd let\u2019s not forget, family support\u2014especially from a life partner\u2014is incredibly important all the way through to the completion of research.\u201d<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t
