Communications in science is not painful.
@vega.paramitadevi shares her experience after returning from the Watermicro 2025 conference in Amersfoort, the Netherlands.
Held under the International Water Association (IWA), this is a gathering place for global experts in water and environmental microbiology. This conference is one of the oldest in the world and has now reached its 22nd edition. Beyond expanding networks, young and mid-career researchers had the chance to directly meet with senior experts and also establish collaborations with industry players.

“Through Watermicro 2025, as a researcher, I’ve become more confident about my research positioning—both now and in the future. I gained this during my time as a presenter, through discussions with senior researchers during the poster session, and by listening to their presentations. It helped build motivation to move forward as a researcher.
When we feel like we’ve failed, somewhere else in the world, someone is going through the same thing. We can support and encourage one another.
And let’s not forget, family support—especially from a life partner—is incredibly important all the way through to the completion of research.”
Vega sempat berseri menceritakan beberapa ahli seperti Prof Haas, Prof Sano, dan Prof Gomi dan bisa langsung berdiskusi dengan mereka.
